This is why German classical philosophy made such a huge step forward in the scientific comprehension of the nature of the ‘ideal’ – in its actual fundamental opposition to the material in general, including that material organ in the human body, which helps to ‘idealise’ the real world, namely the brain, imprisoned in the human head.
